Prism collects only the minimum data necessary to provide core functionality:
User Activity
We track usage patterns within the extension (e.g., button clicks, feature usage, navigation flow) using PostHog to help us improve performance, fix bugs, and understand what features matter most.
Website Content (Selected by You)
When you use Prism’s screenshot feature, the tool captures only the chart area you manually select. These images are:
Temporarily stored in your browser’s local storage
Sent to OpenAI’s API for analysis
Not used for any other purpose
2. What We Don’t Do
We do not sell or share your data with third parties
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling
We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as name, email, or address
We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored:
Locally in chrome.storage.local for chart history, preferences, and API keys (if you choose to use one)
Temporarily in memory or on a secure remote server only when interacting with OpenAI or PostHog
4. Permissions & Security
Prism requests only the permissions required to function, including access to specific trading and charting platforms. We never collect or scrape data outside of the areas you explicitly interact with.
All data transfers are encrypted using HTTPS. We follow security best practices and review dependencies regularly.
